The one thing that I think the RDF & semantic web folks have really missed the boat on is simple but intelligent authoring tools for contexts and schemas.

Like, I know the @w3c publishes a lot of contexts/prefixes, but I've no idea how. Guides for this always just seem to end at "you can"

A lesson learned:

Wrote a little shell script to extract data from a wikidata dump.
It took about a day to extract 50.000 persons.

With my rusty Python skills, it took about an hour to rewrite it in Python.

That script has now extracted 2.000.0000 persons in less than half an hour.

I moved all my TSV files containing a descriptions of my BAMs, fasta refs, samples, phenotypes, comment etc... to a . No regret ! I works fine, the graph is git-ed and I can re-generate any TSV file using

is there a tool in /#arq to remove some triples from a RDF document ? Something like:

```
tool in.rdf remove.rdf > out.rdf
```

I can't find a description of all the binaries under `apache-jena-4.9.0/bin`

LodView is a pretty nice IRI dereferencer / RDF viewer.

On data.digitopia.nl/ I just upgraded it to a version based on more current libraries: github.com/teamdigitale/dati-s

I compiled it using gradle version 7.

btw. this can definitely be improved with , but the momentum they are building because of simplicity is impressive. Mind you the simplicity is very quickly getting out of hand with huge amount of NIPS... But NIPS like RDF vocabs get naturally selected.

Pretty significant work documented here on machine-actionable DMPs (part of a special issue on 'Data Management Planning across Disciplines and Infrastructures'...).

Among other things, the paper demonstrates (the amusingly named...) 'MadPot' toolkit, enabling transformation of maDMPs to alternative serializations; and reasoning to make judgements about quality.

All accepted papers are available in RDF

We created a Knowledge Graph (KG) linking all accepted papers with their associated resources (data, code, ontologies and demos).

Do you struggle with queries? Just ask to write you a query!
Wait....how about we train to use different tools on and store all of our knowledge in Knowledge Graphs?
What a brilliant future perspective with a lot of benefits by @vrandecic

ActivityStreams enables the open world assumption, just like the full JSON-LD, at the cost of a slight inconvenience of the developers, who now have to namespace their vocabularies. See example 28 of w3.org/TR/activitystreams-core

Contrary to the RDF model, you can only discuss 1 thing per resource, and you cannot use named graphs for a full dataset. I don’t really know if that is a problem.

Looking at data structures for tends to end in frustration. PKM is perfect for graph data structures, but most databases lack in indexing aproaches that make single-node-based edge traversals cheap. Everything happens on global scopes.

Also, would be perfect for sharing knowledge graph information beyond a local scope and reasnong - but because relations are not uniquly identifiable, you end up with all sorts of limitations that you really need for semantic links and the like.

This book set is not cheap, I always wanted it, and now suddenly an opportunity came for me to place an order (and possibly have the bill covered for 😃)

The books cover all sorts of transmission and modulation schemes and provides detailed information on them all: application, how they look in time and frequency domain, etc.

If you’re into various sorts of radio monitoring, either professionally or on a hobbyist level, these books are really nice to have around 🙂 They’re not meant to be read from end to end, although you can certainly do so, merely they’re supposed to used as a handy signals-library 😎 đŸ“» 📡

In the world of radio monitoring or any kind of signal intelligence, there are two important quotes:

“Each signal is information”
(Roland Proesch)
“Information always adds”
(Robert T. Hill)

Get them at frequencymanager.de đŸ‘ŒđŸ» 📖

How would you annotate paragraph formatting within literals?
In a perfect world you would not have like bold, italic or even lists and hyperlinks. But if we want to publish explanations, instructions and more, there's just a lot of existing data with formatting.

One imperfect approach I have is encoding the markup as Markdown, and either annotate that in the ontology or by making separate triples like this
