Books about training and dealing with are much like books about writing craft: it’s best to read widely and use what works for you, rather than following any one program like it’s the only guru you need.

(Also: a mentor and peers is better than a book, if possible. You can’t cry on a book’s shoulder)

Today we took to meet his new veterinarian. Niko super duper panicked.

The vet and techs were lovely and we will definitely be keeping them. But I can't tell you how sad I felt about how afraid this kid was.

We have a tranquilizer to use for him next time, but it was an emotionally hard day for us both.

One of the neighbours in our flat complex have a cockapoo. I haven't spoken to them yet - I feel that would be impolite - but it's comforting to know we aren't the only ones dealing with this.

Hey folx! I realize I never introduced myself. I'm Bill Mayeroff. I run Big Wags Chicago Training and Dog Walking. I'm a positive reinforcement trainer who wants you and your dog to have a relationship built on trust, love and mutual respect.

Outside of work, I love bitter , , the , and my fuzzy family - my partner and our two rescue pups.
