@vlrny I had a long stretch (years) of low cog related to illness, pain, and grief (which really impacts both pain and cognition!). I’m so thankful I’ve been able to read new fiction again - I’ve been zipping through both the #ReadHarderChallenge and the Free Black Women’s Library reading challenge this year. I just finish A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers and it was so sweet and tender and hopeful for what a different world could look like.
It's April and I've only completed one task in the #ReadHarderChallenge. There are 23 to go. I don't think this is going to work out. I know we're allowed to use one book for multiple tasks. I didn't want to do that, but I'm not sure I can complete it even if I do. #BookRiot #Bookstodon

@cublanco How interesting. The bookriot #ReadHarderChallenge has a task to read a manga. I was just wondering where or if I could find an accessible one. I guess that one from NLS will be it.
I'm pretty disappointed that some of the prompts for the BookRiot #ReadHarderChallenge cannot be completed by #blind and visually impaired #Screenreader users. For example, task 5, read a completed webcomic. THese are completely visual and cannot be read by a screenreader. As much as they advocate for disabled representation, it’s sad to see them selecting tasks that exclude blind people from participating. I can replace those tasks with tasks from previous years so it's not a total loss. #noxp

Hey there #Memphis, One of the tasks in the Bookriot #ReadHarderChallenge is to read a book that has recently been challenged in your local school district or library. I've tried googling this, but can't find any info. The WREG site has a story on the large increase in book challenges, but it's from the AP and doesn't mention local cases. The task allows the alternative of picking something from the list of most challenged books, but I want to push myself. Any pointers? #noxp
