A mildly interesting #historical tidbit for folks in #BerksCounty and #ReadingPA:

100 years ago today, Reading's City Council and Berks County agreed that the county would pay for a new bridge across the Schuylkill River.

Why the @ReadingEagle allows bigoted letters to be printed is beyond me. This letter throws a few errantly-placed bible passages at the reader then tells you you need to 'seek salvation' and change from your ways.

Interesting story this morning in the Reading Eagle: A sitting county commissioner, the lone Democrat, will step down to become Berks County's chief operating officer.

Last time he ran for re-election, a #ReadingPA city councilwoman almost beat him. It'll be interesting to see who runs for his seat, and whether the GOP will control all 3 commission seats.
