I have no doubt that most of the users on Lemmy are #RealPeople, but I also have no doubt that most of the new users over the past few days were looking for something to do, and will go back to Reddit now that the subs are coming back online. @Mrfunkedude I was just thinking of posting something similar. I follow all of the news, politics, war and such posts but I stop when I see a picture of a cat that knocked a flowerpot off the windowsill. I follow a lot of people that post that stuff as well as favorite photos, art, or music and such. It keeps me from spiraling into some doom and gloom mode - knowing that there are real people out there still - living normal everyday lives like me...
