#Likes to #charge, #reblogs to #cast

#Mastodon needs a way to filter #reblogs on people’s profiles so you can see just the content a person has posted. I like to use this method to help determine if an account is a #bot or not.

So many people are talking about bringing #quotereplies #quotetweets to #Mastodon, but I’ve yet to see any #Fediverse platforms import #Tumblr’s reblog trees. Which is weird, given that Tumblr is going FOSS and Fediverse soon. #reblogs#reblog #activitypub

Good ☀️ morning everyone! On Mastodon when you ⭐️ FAVORITE ⭐️ something, you just let the one person who wrote the toot/post know that you like it. But, when you 🔁 REBLOG 🔁 the toot/post, everyone is 😃 happy. In this way, by reblogging, you help spreading the post and more people are now able to see this particular post in their timeline. Major issue: how will #Tumblr #reblogs show up in the #Fediverse?

The most quote-reblog-friendly Fediverse platforms (#Misskey, for one) only do it like #Twitter. And #Pixelfed is the only Fediverse platform which places media above text (that I know of) like Tumblr.

Maybe #Automattic can open-source the reblogging part so that other Fediverse platforms can integrate Tumblr posts better?

As the other place implodes, or whatever, having another poke around here. Is there a way to mute when someone you follow #reblogs things? Or am I just going to have to unfollow serial boosters? I found it a most useful feature in the other place so that I could still see original content rather than the same-old over and over again.

Trying to find your own post in #mastodon may be hard. There's a reason to disable #content #search and it's totally understandable; you also can't ask yourself from past using #hashtags; yet a simple design workaround could do the trick – to move reblogs from posts to posts and replies timeline. The reason to keep #reblogs in #posts seems to be code (which generates timeline streams) reuse, but not UI/UX.
