4 key takeaways from the jaw-dropping January jobs report - CNN Business apple.news/AXMUKeR7FRQmgSO6glL
Oooopppps. There is no recession. The economy is wicked strong (said with a Boston accent). There is a good reason for a labor shortage. Deal with it. The war, the pandemic, are real political concerns. Don’t be quick to believe people who say ‘Be afraid, we are in danger.’ Things are far from perfect. It appears we are on a good track.

We're monitoring the current recession and layoffs in big IT firms closely. Our feelings go out to the victims. Being a software company we want to learn from other's mistakes so that we wont face similar situation. How a company can avoid this?

@rbreich the definition of inflation is "too much money chasing too few goods". Now, "too few goods" was driven by a supply chain issue where resources were unavailable (either materials or human). During a time in the pandemic the government did give away money to people. Perhaps too much money (and I know people who exploited loopholes and received money they shouldn't have) and many didn't want to come back to work. A convoluted economic mess.
