"Fame" is a song written by #MichaelGore (music) and #DeanPitchford (lyrics) and released in 1980, that achieved chart success as the theme song to the Fame film and #TVSeries. The song was performed by #IreneCara, who played the role of Coco Hernandez in the original film. It was also her debut #single as a #recordingArtist. The song won the #AcademyAwardForBestOriginalSong in 1980, and the #GoldenGlobeAward the same year. In 2004.
