For five years we owned the Trident recording console which first resided at El Cortijo studios in southern Spain. The late, great studio-tech, Brian Hayward, told the story of how when Kyle came to record the first thing she did on arrival was make everyone a cup of tea. @hilljam I discipline myself to 32 tracks on return - plus FX. That’s the number of Pro Tools analogue outs we have. I make decisions and bounce shit before I start to mix. It’s a bit false I know as you can come back but to commit to EQ, compression and stuff in advance is cool. We also dont use any plugins and although extensive, our outboard is limited (see what I did there).
