Yeah cost is an issue, no range fees for this location and my #Bow and #Arrows were free to me. For archery specifically the entry fee is those tools, you can pay a lot or a little for bows and you get what you pay for!

Arrows were a shock to me, my bow is a 40 pound #Recurve but that's enough energy transferred to the arrow to destroy it if it doesn't hit hay. $10/arrow for carbon fiber and tips aren't free!
In general it's cheap until you get past entry level.

Looking for ideas for my next target. The back of a kids' whiteboard has been a bit messy, and not super durable (not that I'm replacing this til I hit the feckin centre, mind). Bit fragile in the wind,too.
Replaced a lost arrowhead with a reshaped nail, which accounts for the spud-sized chunks missing.

Dude gave me a pse shark about 4 years ago. I've waved the string and reduced the draw weight for storage.

The string is a new fangled all in one or something. Should I replace it and can I do it myself?

The string goes through the wheels. A shop said they'd order a custom string? . Custom string? My BS meter started going wirld
