An abundant #redflowergum blooming in a carpark, #Bendigo #Australia.
#Bees were doing their industrious work and loads of the vibrant red filaments have fallen onto the bitumen already.

I spotted a few of these trees growing within close proximity to each other the other day.
I took a special trip back to photograph. Was so fortunate that it was such a glorious day to view and snap them!
I couldn’t believe the amount of pollination activity… #bees were everywhere and busy at work!
Yes those black dots are dozens of #honeybees taking off and coming into land.
The bloom was so bright. 🙌
This particular tree (its flower) presented more as red, although a couple of others nearby were more orange. I’ll feature those in another toot, soon.
BTW, this is a #redflowergum, a glorious species of small tree that is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia.
We’re so fortunate it also grows oh so well here in Melbs too!

For such a small tree, this #redflowergum (pictured 5 mins ago) in #oakleighsouth #Australia has some impressive bloom.
It’s endemic to the SW of Western Australia. Though is one of the most commonly planted ornamental eucalypts in warmer regions throughout Oz!

This is a #redflowergum flowering with bursts of red, located in #caulfield, #Australia.
It is early in it’s flowering phase, so I’d expect to see a greater coverage of these gorgeous and vibrant flowers in the coming week or two.
I’m sure there will be plenty of these majestic trees to snap and share shortly.
I’ll keep an eye out!

Good morning, good arvo, evening or night wherever you call HOME!
To kick things off today (my morn 😁) we have a beaming pōhutukawa, which is Māori, for #NewZealandChristmastree.
But it could be a #redflowergum!
My flora identification app is having conflict over which it is. Any experts out there, feel free to confirm, input or advise.
Either way it is gorgeous. And even the bees that were in abundance flittering around this beautiful specimen agree it is an appealing tree to visit.
It displays bright, vibrant red flowering masses with a little bit of green. I’ll definitely go back to this one in a couple of weeks to see if it flowers.
