#Communist ideas have never resulted in a sustained growth in the well-being of the entire population. In all known situations, the construction of communism resulted in massive population #impoverishment, as in #capitalist countries with little #taxation. In the end, implementing the idea of comprehensive #wealth #redistribution is not much different from implementing the idea of pure or wild, minimally controlled #capitalism, because both ideals destroy the #middle #class and lead to #poverty.

The #hardRight (read: the #Republican party) in this country is busy convincing people that the source of our problems are #queers, and #immigrants, and the #homeless, and "#woke" people. Meanwhile they are continuing to facilitate the #redistribution of wealth to the #oligarchs while they have the population distracted.

FDR made an attempt to slow this roll with the new deal. It's time for adjustment again. Today's plebs will need to set aside their petty sovereignties to express their power in unity.
