PSA: for anyone considering buying one of those very high megapixel mobiles and wanting to actually use the highest resolution instead of a pixel-binned output.

You're going to find it really difficult to find any app that can edit those photos at a usable speed and save the output at native resolution.

200 megapixels is a lot of data the work with.

Disappointing update from #Xiaomi for my phone today. They opted to upgrade it to MIUI14 but left it on Android 12. For a phone that only launched 4 months ago, that's a let down.

In honour of my upcoming "birthday-with-a-zero" I've ordered myself a new Android phone. It'll be my first non-ios device in 8 or 9 years so I have a list of APPs and data as long as my arm that have to be transferred. Wish me luck.
