Garden Red Peony art. I picked this lovely red peony (family Paeoniaceae) from my garden. It's one of the few really gorgeous perrenials that can stand our crazy climate here in Calgary. I love the rich colour and sweet scent. Unfortunately, the flowers have a short blooming season, usually only 7–10 days. I decided to try my new extension tubes on my 85mm lens. It was fun. I painted this photo in photoshop to give it a soft, painterly look.
