I hate #PENDMAS because it is misleading.

There are three #arithmetic #operations: #additions, #multiplications and #powers. They are #geometric expansions similar to a #line to a #square to a #cube.

The other three: #subtraction, #division, and #roots are no different than the above except in #direction. They are geometric #reductions.

To truly understand one you must understand the other.

Is this assuming a current #emission pathway? Hence, you move back on the graph? Under still rising emissions I think I see it. At a plateau the time jump would become larger (possibly misleading) and under falling emissions the picture gets difficult. One could argue that the machine pushes you into the future towards net zero. Somehow this is true, but not the point you wanted to show. Emission #reductions with speed and in all sectors are imperative.
