Planning (not doing!) a code is the self-inflicted penance of writing code too fast.

When performing the “Extract Function” step in forces you to import or copy/paste large amounts of types I think something has gone seriously wrong with the language.

I just did my last run-through of the talk I'm giving tomorrow at 11am for @pythonwebconf. It's the best talk I've created.

You'll be inspired and well-equipped to your code.

Join me!

Remember to always take that extra couple minutes to away any duplication. It's just as important as getting it working.

I feel torn when picking up the best editor for writing in . I'm used to VSCode because it allows me to jump between multiple languages.

I've set up everything to make my work smooth also in ... but the capabilities of PyCharm... that's just another league, or I didn't find a better way to rename/move things across many modules yet.

Completed a exercise today on exercism.org, "Diamond" - print a diamond shape with size dependent on letter entered.

Looking at some of the community solutions, there are plenty of opportunities where I can and try new methods to simplify my solution. Looking forward to trying some of these!

I did a session of your code so you can see what it might look like after a by a veteran. Looks like it was a fun project to work on.

I would have spent a little more time on it but I am traveling tomorrow out of state. Don't hesitate to ask questions if you want.

There is some kind of personal contentment when you are working with your team on a project for the last 3 months and it begins to bear fruit.

I was charged with leading the of an internal project used by the company Management, Sales and PMs.

We changed the architecture to DDD based, refactored , new endpoints, added logging, refreshed the deployment process and added guidelines for new developers.

There is still a lot to do, but I am happy so far.

This was quite the and provided I did my well, it also went according to plan 😅

This would not have been possible without all the efforts in relevant tests, otherwise I wouldn't dare touch that part. The result? It's now also A LOT easier to touch that part as all magic is gone.

I mapped (manually) the of all dependencies in the and -jobs / ecosystem that I inherited at work, and that I now need to support and :) Here green nodes are methods, browns and pinks are databases in 2 different systems, blues are cron jobs, reds are APIs etc.

Made with library (that itself produces a output)
