sprucing up an old tee! 👚🎨🪡 🌈

the original tee with a sol lewitt art print on it. its neckline had loosened, warped and was crying out for some care.

to neaten the neckline, i folded it in half towards the inside and stitched it down with a sewing machine. also shortened the sleeves to make it feel fresher.

then just for fun added some colour with posca markers, first time trying it out on fabric! 🙃🌈

Le Monde - France to pay bonus for shoes and clothing repairs to cut waste

France will pay a bonus for shoes and clothing repairs in an effort to cut waste.

The move aims to cut down on the 700,000 tonnes of clothes thrown away by French people each year, two-thirds of which end up in landfills.

Under the scheme, customers will be able to claim 7 euros for mending a heel and 10-25 euros for clothing repairs.

does anyone know how to fix the spot on your jean’s zipper lap that doesn’t cover the zipper anymore? I’ve thought ab trying to somehow tack the zipper to the lap, but that’s going to be really tricky and isn’t worth the effort.
