You will have noticed that #petrol prices spiked last week & are expected to continue rising into the #autumn.

While much of this continues to be the result of constraints in supply due to the #UkraineWar, there is also a #refining issue here:

replacement crude is proving more difficult to refine, slowing throughput to forecourts... but (also) refiners are making increased profits.

So, when next you're looking for #greedflation, the petrol #supplychain would be a good place to examine!

The requirement for wind renewable energy is, thankfully, far less than that required to replace the 800m personal ICE fleet with the 1bn EVs as Tesla hope for, and as MIT recently modelled.

The consumer electronics market is a side show here, both in importance and volume, and use in LED lighting is orders of magnitude smaller.

The major benefit is the reduced ecological footprints of public transport over personal transport vehicles (#EVs or ICEs) and journeys.

Electrified and efficient, or possibly green hydrogen fuelled, public transport is the icing on the cake.

Being present for your child emotionally, not just physically, is extremely powerful. So powerful that it actually affects the child negatively (long term) when the parent looks away first in meaningful gazes.

Ugh. I am probably guilty of this. Quality time is more than just sitting down with my child and giving her undivided attention. How I disengage is so important as well.

Offshore #oil and #gas emits vast amounts of #GHG, starting during the #exploration and #extraction below the seabed, continuing through intensive processing and #refining onshore, and right up until the #fuels are finally burned.

Drilling operations are dirty too.
