I finally managed to compile and run #FreeCAD under #Gentoo on my #mnt #reform2.

This was my 3rd attempt in 2 years. It was one of the very last pieces of software I was still missing.

If anyone is eager to try out the recently published version of #inform7 to write #interactiveFiction before the IDEs have caught up with the changes: I have just written a short blog post on how to set up Inform and a basic project and build + package it from the command line. Worked even out of the box on the ARM-based CPU of the #reform2! Will be fun continuing my previous IF attempts on the reform's mechanical keyboard :D

The MNT #reform2 computer comes with detailed (even printed!) handbook including schematics. It is open hardware, so even the kicad drawings are available as are the CAD files for case and housings -- it is very much a DIY-friendly device (and currently my main driver for anything non-gaming).

That is certainly not the norm though.. :-/

The version with the Chaostreff Bern logo is probably not very useful to anyone, but the repository also contains a plain version with no logo at all. This could be useful as a starting point for adding your own design.
