The Word of God proper is Jesus Christ, the one whom the Scriptures reliably reveal.

Rather, it was an appeal to the Bible as the primary source and final authority of one's theological affirmations.

But "Better Together" is always true when it comes to the Church, for we do not constitute ourselves, but are formed by, in, and around Christ.

But this is a false idol: purity cannot be obtained by separating. Purity exists only in union with Christ.
Because the Church is One, and purity is in Christ, schism only calcifies our impurity and encourages us to hope in cleanness outside of Christ.

The Church is One, because Christ is One.
When Christians separate, they fail to follow Jesus who resisted temptation to worship the Separator.
