This young man is just 7 days old.
His name is David.
We were happy to see his mum and him today. His mum came to us a month ago, heavily pregnant.
Like all pregnant mums we invited her to come back after the baby is born to receive supplies for the baby and clothes for mum.
They left with lots of baby clothing and diapers along with everything young David will need over the next weeks, including a stroller, changing mat, towel, hygiene and blankets.
Mum was proud and happy because she has also received her asylum.

Sometimes you just need the correct clothes for jumping in puddles.
This little bundle of trouble arrived at Hope today soaking wet and in trouble with her mum. I literally poured the water out of her shoes. Apparently the big puddles were to much to resist.
We kitted her our with puddle jumping equipment straight away and made sure she was warm and dry.
Kids will be kids wherever they are❤️

In the last days we have reached everyone that lost everything in the latest fire.
For two of the families this is not the first time they have lost everything.
Our hearts break when we see the constant trauma that these people are forced to endure.
This little one is 7. She has been here 6 years. The only life she knows is refugee camps, first moria then the new camp. How much can one child take in such a small life. She has never known a home or school. Never had the things that other kids take for granted.
She left today with three big bags of clothes that she chose herself, and 2 small bags of toys.
She left happy with a bag of everything pink, her smile never wavered which broke my heart even more.
Unfortunately we couldn't find much for her dad because we are desperately short of mens clothing but he was gracious and happy because his daughter was happy.
We found them some kitchen basics as well as tea, sugar and some food.
The abuse that is leveled at people fleeing never ceases to amaze us.
These children deserve more 😔

Today we had lots of families from Afghanistan.
We try to make our visitors as happy as possible.
These young ladies we so happy to be able to choose their own toys 🥰
