New not-new phone! Still vaguely nervous that it’ll get flagged as stolen, but it’s an eBay Refurbished seller/item, so fingers crossed…

Especially impressed that #TMobile was able to activate it via their website chat, without going into a store, and I could transfer files between phones via Bluetooth.

Unfortunately no #Otterbox Star Wars cases for it (unlike my rad #Chewbacca case), so I got a plain one to load up eventually with stickers. #refurbished #refurb #iPhone14Pro #sustainability

Just finished refurbishing my late 60s La Pavoni Europiccola espresso machine.

Redid the wiring, repainted, new handles and base, all new seals, added a better switch system, swapped for a stronger heater, added a thermal fuse, etc.

Looking forward to getting to use it .

I recently came across this super helpful tool in Python called Refurb. As the name suggests, it refurbishes and modernizes your Python codebase. Refurb only supports Python 3.10. I'd suggest the first step is standing up the refurbishment industry.

When a battery no longer works for a car, likely *most* of it is still fine. Swap out the bad cells with good ones and it's basically new again.

Spending #today helping the local council it seems: responding to the local plan and on a committee organising a green #refurb event!
