Just spent a fruitful time recovering an #archive of #tunes I recorded in a #bygone age of #Atari 1040 running #Cubase #MIDI only synced to an #Akai rackmount multitrack.

I think I will release them! Better stuff than I thought!

Fave #plan right now is to release them as 'singles' with a #refurbished so to speak A side and the original from the archive on the B side.

When they're all done will release them on an album together, the title of which is 'so cunning' that I am not telling! 😁

Wife found me a beat up #fretless #fender at a #yardsale.

Sadly it was a mess, #bridge was shot, neck was twisted, the nut was filed below the #fretboard... no lie...!

So I ordered some replacement parts from #Fender directly... a new #HiMass bridge, a new "fretted" #JazzBass neck, some slick #nutfiles from #NomadMusic (slots on the neck are guides only) and some #DR #BlackBeauties

It turned out awesome...!

It weighs exactly 1lb heavier than my go to staple #Spector...

Gestern habe ich auf meinem neuen (#refurbished ) Laptop #elementaryos installiert. Soweit so gut. Hab natürlich die neueste Version geladen und schön gespendet. Nun, nachdem ich die Pakete aktualisiert und upgedatet hatte, gab es mit dem Paketmanager Probleme. Er meinte, es wären immer noch Updates vorhanden, welche er aber nicht mer installieren kann, weil Fehler. Über das Terminal stehen keine Updates mehr an. Nur der Paketmanager meckert. New not-new phone! Still vaguely nervous that it’ll get flagged as stolen, but it’s an eBay Refurbished seller/item, so fingers crossed…

Especially impressed that #TMobile was able to activate it via their website chat, without going into a store, and I could transfer files between phones via Bluetooth.

I'm writing this on my second #fairphone 3+.

I got my first fairphone when I ran out of options with #secondhand phones.

Our household is very much into #reuse. Buying a new phone means a second hand or #refurbished one. I have a phone with a broken screen that I use as a bluetooth gateway for sensors at our house.

Once a phone fell out of my pocket as I was running, and I stepped on it with full force. I had to look for a replacement. I selected a model specifically because it was listed as supported by whatever the alternative operating system of choice was at the time, and by the time I got it, it had been removed as supported, and it really didn't work. I didn't know which information to trust about the older phones, so I decided to do something shocking and buy a new phone. And the only one that seemed reasonably okay was a fairphone. 😀

A year later I accidentally drowned it in a public swimming pool. Fairphones are reasonably repairable, I went to a fairphone specialist in Vienna, but when the main board is corroded from chlorinated water, it's game over. Before I could decide what to do, someone gifted me a new phone, exactly the same one as before. I accepted the gift, and that's the story!
