Speaking of #WomenInSport #PlayLikeAGirl the hot topic at the moment.

The Sydney Sirens who play in the #AWIHL which is THE top level Ice Hockey competition in Australia, don't get anywhere near as much sponsorship as the men. To the point the players themselves usually pay for all of their own equipment, ice time, travel & accommodation out of their own pockets.

This season is going to be expanded to a full home & away comp, which puts even more stress on the players own wallets.

The season runs from late October through until the start of March. There's a few hundred people who attend every home game at Macquarie Ice rink PLUS every single game is broadcast on https://cluch.tv/ and available to anyone with an account (no paid sub required).

As well as volunteering with them (and hopefully doing rink announcing) I'll be throwing $500 in with a group who like to pool money towards player sponsorships. #SoundTheSiren #RefuseToLose
