I just recommended an interesting article @pcirr by @maddi_pow, @drcpennington, @kaitclark, and colleagues. It started out as a #RegisteredReport 2 years ago and it is exciting to find out the results!
Incorporating #OpenResearch practices (preregistration) into the #undergraduate #curriculum increases understanding, but doesn't change attitudes toward questionable research practices (QRPs)
My recommendation and the review history: https://doi.org/10.24072/pci.rr.100437

#ManyIndividuals launched as a #RegisteredReport @pcirr - we share our research plans so anyone can conduct their own replication (http://corinalogan.com/ManyIndividuals/mi1.html). Our registered report is a #ReproducibleManuscript (Rmarkdown) with hypotheses, research questions, analytical validations of reversal learning passing criteria, and bespoke Bayesian power analyses and analyses with all of the R and STAN code provided (with hopefully enough notation so others can modify as needed)

Human-modified environments are increasing & threaten many species who aren't able to adapt. Can we train them to be more flexible & help them adapt? See our new articles #PeerReviewed @PeerCommunityIn Ecology & @pcirr, published @PeerCommunityJournal & @PeerJ

7) PCI RR authors can CHOOSE to EXCLUDE any PCI RR recommender (editor) from handling their #RegisteredReport at the time of submission. This helps reduce potential conflicts of interest.
Authors can also choose which recommenders to INVITE to handle their RR, which gives authors more freedom of choice in the evaluation process

5) Explicitly state & address the level of bias in your #RegisteredReport with PCI RR’s TAXONOMY OF BIAS CONTROL. Makes it clear what level of bias control is required for RR submissions to be eligible for consideration by PCI RR & PCI RR-friendly journals

4) Have a large/long-term research program that involves many hypotheses that share the same theoretical background? Submit 1 PROGRAMMATIC #RegisteredReport that will end up as >1 final article. This innovation makes it easier for more research fields to adopt RRs

3a) PCI RR-interested journals don’t automatically accept PCI RR recommendations, but are alerted (with author consent) when a #RegisteredReport passes pre- or post-study review. Journal could contact authors to arrange additional review or directly publish

2) Worried that a #RegisteredReport (RR) will slow you down?
Submit your RR to PCI RR on the SCHEDULED REVIEW track!
Submit a 1 page snapshot & the date by which you will submit the full RR, & PCI RR will line up the recommender (editor) & reviewers in advance!

Hey authors! Want to save time at Stage 2?
Write all sections of your Stage 1 #RegisteredReport in present tense. That way you don’t have to change Stage 1 future tense to present or past tense at Stage 2.
Present tense in ALL sections of a Stage 2 manuscript is perfectly acceptable 😃
I just served as a @pcirr recommender for a cool piece of research by Alley, Axt, and Flake. They will determine whether data from students and crowdsourced online platforms measure the same thing.
Thanks to our wonderful reviewers @itchyshin and Benjamin Farrar!

The best editorial experience to date.
Here I share a case study as an Action Editor/Recommender for
@pcirr and Addiction Research & Theory.
@MKarhulahti submit a #RegisteredReport with #OpenData #OpenCode
Joel Billieux and Lois Fournier then engage with the future research directions recommended by the original authors. They reuse the data & fast forward science.
Both work together collaboratively on a final reply!
Open science wins.

@MerageG : @giladfeldman would you happen to know about this? I remember from your website that you've been working on conducting pre-registered meta-analysis systematic reviews...
Hi #neuroscience humans! Question: has anyone here gone the #registeredreport route? If so I have a questions Re: how some of the stage 1 submission rules are defined. (First attempt at a registered report and want to make sure I’m doing things the right way). Brief background: registered clinical trial, data collection ongoing, double blinded so don’t have access to data as it’s meant to be analyzed but have done some non-stats quality check type analyses. Is this okay? DM w/thoughts!
