A mate put me onto the bbc annual Reith lectures last year and they are amazing (the back catalogue is fascinating - 1996’s topic was The World Wide Web, and another in 1999 covered biodiversity). This years theme is freedom and if you have an hour to listen to a Glaswegian break down how left and right wing ideologies have both left people trapped, and what we must do to break free- here it is podcasts.apple.com/nz/podcast/
