The more I read of the content of the more they seem like whiny brats who cannot get over that “one time” they didn’t get what they want.

The systemic political and socio economic issues that led to preceded the vote; and they are still here now. You will never undo the damage of Brexit without dealing with the root causes.

I have no interest in some bitter loser campaign that doesn’t tackle the fundamental issue of destroying the Tory Establishment.

I wonder if those who say have one single idea of what joining the means in terms on ect or they think (naively possibly) that the UK would rejoin with the same deal they had before without consulting the only people in charge of deciding whether to grant the same special contract, again

Sadly, Jonathan Freedland is right. Rejoining the EU will be a multi-decade project that if I'm very lucky I might see accomplished in my lifetime (I'm 42). It will require the old who never understood the benefits and who were seduced by lies and meaningless jingoism to die, and the young who had their rights stolen to get old enough to have children in turn to be angry about their rights being stolen.

Because it will not happen until the demand is overwhelming, and overwhelming enough to withstand the demands the EU will place on us to consider letting us back in (not getting our rebate back will be the least of it - we'll probably have to join the Euro, for a start, and Schengen). 52-48 was sufficient to trigger the hardest Brexit possible. Rejoin will be impossible until that figure swings back to nearer 30-70 and stays there.

Yes to for especially if isn't on the cards.

For - not as part of the

BUT Yes as a newly united & shared .

After - I never want another English government to have a say in how my island governed. It is

destroyed more than one union in my opinion. However, I am only sad to see one go.

@PamCrossland Britain has already in the past decided/assumed what others should give them without even consulting them. That assumption was campaigned upon and brought into the negotiations with . Whoever is campaigning for , should do so under the assumption that the basic joining rules would apply, until further info/confirmation or exceptions are agreed upon by both sides. No point start a rejoining campaign with opt outs in mind already before they're offered.

The political class isn't ready to admit to the population that was a mistake.

Until they do that, the project continues. So does the mess it makes of & it's relationships world-wide.

If I am being totally honest, there is only one that I want a vote in the future - the one that unites my island, which removes the British Border that none of us wanted. then gets to the as a newly united Ireland. I

I don't understand it all either. All the polls are showing that the majority now want to . So take that information and run with it.

It slove so many of the problems that the is facing. It really would help set the UK onto the right track again.

Brexit: a very British Greek tragedy

Even previous leave voters now agree that Brexit has been a tragedy for Britain, almost on a par with the epic myths of destruction from Ancient Greece.

This is why it will be hard to convince other European countries that the UK should be let back into the EU after the Brexit folly.

Membership requires team players.

Turning a blind eye to fraud committed against other member states because it doesn’t impact your own tax receipts is a bad look.

Brexit made Britain poorer, Europe weaker… and worst of all, it made liberal democracy’s enemies happier !

An unforgivable mistake… but a great democracy like Britain’s can always turn around and fix its mistakes.
