Magic, my 23-yr-old Tennessee Walking horse buddy, appears to have recovered from the scary bout of laminitis and thatโs no small thing for us. Heโs still on stall rest and a special diet of soaked hay, but I expect heโll ask to go join the herd today and intend to let him do that. #relieved #HorsesOfMastodon

Still surprised at how it managed to go from nice and calm to tailspin to shitsville in 0.03 seconds and still somehow manage to pull up at the last minute and make a fairly decent, if a little rough, landing you can walk away from. A short time later she emailed me back saying that she and her family were rattled but okay. They had no power for most of the day. But the real issues were the bridges that were damaged (not sure about the extent). But as a precautionary people were not allowed to use them thus "trapping" them in certain areas. #Humboldt #Earthquake #BayArea #Relieved
