I suppose you can take the person out of #mysticism, but you can't take the mysticism out of the person. Or, is that in the reverse?

No ascetic nature is called for.

So moving my account to rcsocial lasted all of a half-hour.

Despite the apparent willingness to host all sorts of faiths & all separate viewpoints, I got met at the gate by someone with a very my-way-or-the-highway attitude. I dislike it when people try to limit a Limitless Deity. I could tell it was going to be endless animosity, so I left.

Does any #Religidon or other #theology nerd have a recommendation for where I can set up my account in peace, without annoying my neighbors too badly?

Its that time of year (and I'm about to teach it in my course): #Secularism is, almost universally in the Western world, a version of lapsed Christianity.

The separating out of the religious in the way the west has done it could only be done on the basis of a Christian theology.

Being Christian is totally cool! No one is attacking it or your right to observe as you see fit. But please, PLEASE reconsider your words this #Christmas when you call Santa and a tree secular.

I love my religion/clergy folks on the birdsite, and have done my best in the recent weeks to find them wherever else they are on the internet.

And now I have begun exploring the #religidon and #theologidon communities that are forming here. I didn't need this time-suck right now, but here we are.

I wonder are there #ruralministry #smalltownministry or #newpastor folks out here yet? I would love to get connected with those people too.

I mean we've done Hindutva, the Khalistan movement, State Shinto, modern Chinese Confucian Imperialism, and Sinhalese Buddhist nationism - [then Jewish nationalism/Zionism] - next week week we do Christian nationalism (so...colonialism), followed by the modern (Wahhabi and Pakistan) and Caliphate movements.

Not a blink. Not a murmer.

Of.course I'm 150% jinxing it by writing about it here, but Im so high on managing to convey info without being crucified by two sides I don't care.
