En discutant de liseuse, je me rends compte que l'achat d'une #reMarkable 2 (pour y stocker mes notes mairie) ne me sert pas. Je suis revenu au mode traditionnel pour moi : je trimbale mon PC portable avec #Obsidian dessus et c'est plus simple pour moi (et j'écris mal, et j'ai mal quand j'écris, etc.).

Donc, affaire à vendre : une reMarkable 2 et son stylet, très très peu utilisés, donc quasi neufs. Achetés en novembre 2021 318€.

Je revends 250€ hors frais de port. Photos dispos.

I'd kill if the #remarkable with keyboard supported a "word processor" mode (I'm envisioning a text kind of WP with WordStar keybindings, but I could imagine a few other alternatives on this keyboard)

New use for the #remarkable - really lovely for sketching out #linocut ideas. Remarkable layers for print layers - will send them separately to print and transfer ready for chiseling.

Anyone who has a #reMarkable tablet: what are your thoughts? I've been seriously considering one, but don't know too many people IRL who have one.

Today my #reMarkable #TypeFolio arrived. I bought it because I already have the reMarkable 2 and I often wished for a mechanical keyboard when I created diagrams and plans for work.
I ordered the US-English variant. For French it is lacking only the Cédille and for German the Scharfes S. The other special characters of my languages (de/en/fr/nl) exist. I really hope to use it for technical and business documents/presentations with little drawings.

With a heavy heart, I am forced to admit that I was wrong about the #reMarkable #TypeFolio as an addition to a reMarkable tablet. It proved to be an insane productivity boost for me.

The hardware is flawless.
The distraction-free experience is real.

but

It is heavy indeed.
Software needs work but it is usable even at this stage.
Pricey.

Worth it. I wrote multiple-hour specification documents while doing that on any of my other devices would have required hourly breaks at least.

Only a couple of days in with #remarkable and I very much love it for scribbling / notes / reading.

The biggest irritation so far (and it’s mainly an irritation because it seems like an easy fix) is not being able to get web articles onto it apart from using the desktop Chrome extension. I know there’s a pdf workaround on iOS but it’s a little crunky.

Apart from that it’s a sensational experience, purely for the minimalism / not having to use an emitting screen.

I finally did it. I ordered a #remarkable tablet. I can’t wait to see if this’ll fix all my productivity issues. I’m hopeful 😅

Went through tomorrow's livestream setup in my head. Wrote a checklist.

Most of it is already packed, but I only have lunchtime to sort the last bits. Setting off at 6pm.

Still really looking forward to Chunky Fringe, but the reality of the slog is setting in 😛
