As part of my new ongoing project to #volunteer for #environmental #remediation projects, in defiance of climate doom-saying, today I joined an #Earthcorps group, removing #invasive plants from a local #park.

Basically, I helped weed a forest.

It was fun.

I've decided to stop buying into #climate #doomism, after many years of not being able to avoid feeling and spreading it.

Instead, I've been reading up on individual efforts, and it's amazing what individuals and their communities can accomplish. I want to do what they're doing.

In TV court dramas, the characters always talk about three things they need to prove a case: Means, Motive, and Opportunity.

In #HazardousMaterials release and #remediation the analogy to that is "Source, Pathway, and Receptor". In environmental remediation, a primary goal is to remove at least one or more of those things.

This is important to understand and remember when reading articles about environmental releases like #EastPalastine.
