#Renfrew, Scotland was established in the 12th Century when David I of Scotland gave the lands to Walter Fitz Alan, 1st High Steward if Scotland. In the 13th Century it became a Royal Burgh, and over time was home to two Castles, often occupied by King's of Scotland. Today only the sites of the castles survive under Braehead Shopping Centre and Orchard Park in the town itself.
