Reno Balloon Races

The Reno Balloon Race is the largest free hot air ballooning event in the world. This takes place every year in September.
Starting at 7;00 am is the start of the mass ascension. This is where all of the balloons start inflating and lift off when ready to go. This is a capture of the balloons inflating prior to lift off. Starburst

As a photographer, hot air balloons fascinate me. The colors, shapes, patterns of the balloons are typically very vibrant and cheerful.
This balloon was partially inflated when I noticed the star at the top of the balloon with a beautiful burst of color around the star.

Love Is In The Air

Or it will be soon. This image was captured at the Reno Hot-Air Balloon Race.
This particular balloon was inflating and I was able to capture the heart on the top of the balloon just prior to the balloon moving to a more upright position where this wonderful little heart is lost to all but those above the balloon.
