And if the number is a 1 to 3 then, forget #profitLoss based taxes and Progressive #IncomeTax. Instead tax is squarely focused on Progressive Land Tax based on the improved value of the #land (aka #rentalValue).

A few words of warning from #Australia about the #CapitalGainsTax that #Biden is proposing.

It may be okay in itself, but no matter how the #tax is applied, if you give them a chance to offset their gains with loses, you still end up with the biggest, most #wellConnected #kleptocrats finding mates to lose money too, to circumvent paying tax.

It really does become a game, a racket, to these players.

Agree, those techBros are aimed at preteens. Yes, #corporatists and #rentSeekers are awful and pervert our democratic institutions.

Removing the #profitLoss-based loopholes in our #tax systems and introducing a #ProgressiveLandTax based on total #RentalValue owned by an individual, would help to pay for a #UBI. Then things can improve.

Currently unless you are a #wageSlave, digging holes to fill up, you are unworthy. The opposite is oft true, that every day becomes a workday.

The #HenryGeorge model of #LandTax based on improvedValue (aka #rentalValue). You would make it progressive, starting at 15% of rentalValue to 50% for the extremelyWealthy.

For grandma a #UBI (from landTax that goes up a bit with age will help (1.6 units of UBI) For one child, half a U approx. Two, 3/4 U. No extra support for 3rd/4th children.

At adulthood 1U increasing with age.

#LandTax reform now. Tax 15%-50% of the #rentalValue of the land depending on how much they own. If a person owns too much #RentalValue, including in #trusts they have two years to sell #land until they are below the threshold, or face #prison time.

Watch how this solves a lot of #inequality issues.

That's about the size of the #militaryBudget per year when you factor in all the underground elements.

The #securityState apparently "lost" abour 20 trillion between 2000 and 2015.

The #centralBank just printed trillions as a #bailout for #covid19. Half a trillion apparently going directly to the #billionaireClass.

If we know the #UBI is a dividend of the nations yearly income we won't take it for granted. Minimise #taxAvoidance with #landTax based on #rentalValue.

#UBI works best if the citizenry appreciate that its a #nationalDividend and may fluctuate based on #taxes earned. UBI should also go up with #age.

#LandTax based on #rentalValue is the most equitable way to earn such taxes.

This will never be spoken about on #corporateMedia sources, largely because they are part of the #owningClass that owns the #land.

Land Tax on Rental value can be applied to #land no matter who owns it. The extremely wealthy use every trick they know to avoid a more effective #taxation system.

When it comes to offering a #UniversalBasicIncome in the west, what do people think of the term, "Citizen's Dividend".

It's short, rolls of the tongue, and has an #economic vibe the right can appeciate.

If you disapprove of extortionate #landlords, have you had a chance to read about #LandTax based on #RentalValue?

Otherwise known as #Georgism or #Geoism, it was popularised a century ago by the #HenryGeorge, who wrote a very compelling book titled, #ProgressAndPoverty.

In today's world houses are not treated as #shelter, but instruments for #speculation and #taxOffsets, creating a ponzi or #pyramidScheme largely centered on #populationGrowth to constantly boost #propertyPrices.

#EmptyHomes are a huge problem in many parts of the so-called civilised world.

#Investors would enjoy the #speculativeGains (aka #capitalGains) in the #property they own, this using the #house or #apartment as an #atm machine , a #financialInstrument, rather than a #home.

If govts want to help #smallBusiness during #coronavirus we have two suggestions.

STEP 1) don't give #multinationals, #hedgeFunds and the #bankingCartel a single dollar,

STEP 2) #universalBasicIncome (#UBI) for the people, the more #senior the citizen the larger the amount. Those with #debt will have the #basicIncome amount subtracted from the debt.

Given your opposition to the #billionaireClass you may be interested in the #HenryGeorge model of #taxation, which taxes land based on its improved (aka #rentalValue) and abolishing #incomeTax.

That tax will force them to relinguish some of their many investments and #landHoldings, which forms part of their #monopoly over govts.
