#RentalCarReview of 2023 Fiat Panda: ★★★☆☆

➕Easy to park in tight European spaces, enjoyable drive with a manual transmission.
➖ Not much power and super wide gear ratios keep it interesting going up hills or overtaking. Low-end spec (no cruise or CarPlay).

I’ve been driving this little Panda around Italy for about 1,000 km. It claims to be a hybrid but I can barely feel it, so I’m guessing it’s a mild hybrid setup. Overall it’s a fine little hatchback.

➕Nice not to use gas, great CarPlay screen, back-of steering wheel controls, quiet comfy ride
➖Eco tires are overpowered by EV torque with only FWD, no ⏯️ control on wheel/dash, non-CarPlay UI is clunky

Charged L2 twice at my hotel, no trips to gas stations. Overall it made for a great rental. Would rent again!

Best auto start-stop system I have driven. Really seamless. Good fuel economy and fine dynamics. I like the back-of-steering-wheel media buttons, but wish I had play/pause control easily accessible.
