Any recommended #HomeSecurity hardware? I'm looking at nothing tied to the cloud. I've been eyeballing some #Reolink cameras but I'm not sure if there's anything better out there. Ubiquiti is nice but they're not very affordable.

Abordables et de bonne qualité, elles sont certes connectables à un « cloud » du fabricant et à une app dédiée, mais c’est complètement optionnel : elles sont entièrement configurables localement par une webui et proposent des flux RTSP/RTMP/OVIF, en plus de fonctions complètement autonomes comme l’envoi de mails ou de vidéos sur FTP lors d’une détection.

Also, regarding #reolink I do sometimes get connection refused from the doorbell camera on 554. Not sure why, but reboot solves it.

Are there any #Reolink users that notice all ports except 9000 close for no apparent reason? I have been experiencing the ports on the ethernet connection will close after some amount of time with no interaction by me.

I have submitted a ticket to Reolink and it didn't go anywhere so I will be doing more digging on my side.

Updating the firmware on our #Reolink NVR. It's been sat on this for about 45 mins, and a new browser window doesn't load the UI so it's offline. How long do I give it before I reboot? 🤔

Ran into a weird problem with my #reolink WiFi floodlight camera. The HTTP and HTTPS ports on my wired connection stopped working. A reboot and factory reset did not fix it. A factory reset turned off all ports except port 9000.

Thankfully, the HTTP and HTTPS ports were opened on the WiFi connection. I had to disconnect the ethernet cable to get WiFi to reconnect. I was able to login to the admin interface and turn the RTSP and OnVIF ports on again.

Just replaced my #reolink Argus Pro 3 with a RLC-811A POE bullet camera. Happy to have a properly powered camera. Now to get it hooked into #frigate and #homeassistant

Got my #reolink Duo WiFi 2 Flood wired up this morning so I can have a more stable connection. Hopefully, this will make recordings to #frigate and notifications to #homeassistant faster.

Gonna have to wait a few days, due to rain, to replace my Argus cam with a POE powered camera. Now I need to rewire my network to free up a POE slot on my switch.

Finally updating the front door bell/camera and going Reolink with their current sale on £84

It would better to get a proper Reolink camera that is not powered by battery but this is a good second option.

Funktionieren gut ohne #Cloud und sind sehr gut in HA integriert.

Don't update your Reolink WiFi Doorbell Camera to the latest firmware. It breaks RTSP.

I flashed to the old firmware from 2022 and it started working again. Tested this multiple times with same behavior every time. It's reported to Reolink.
