Wife's Hyundai's tailgate switch has been slowly failing for a few days, it had been opening ok after a couple of pushes but yesterday I was stood like a lemon for about 2 minutes holding everyone up at the tip so resolved to fix it today.

Was surprisingly straightforward to get to, and though trying to spray into the assembly with IT magic repair fluid (or IPA as it's more generally known) didn't help, pulling it apart and spraying into the reed switch did the trick 😁

Sharing a small but satisfying thing - someone was throwing out this lovely chair, because the rubber that provided the recliner bounce-back had hardened. And I fixed it! With an old tennis ball! 😎🎾
