The regulation did *not* ban the sale or possession of kits or components that can be assembled to make guns, but it did require manufacturers & sellers to obtain licenses, mark their products with serial numbers & conduct background checks. Seems like common sense, doesn't it?

But predictably, unreasonable gun owners & companies who make & distribute the components sued to challenge the regulations. 🤦
