Downside of the folks here in my county: lots of stress chattering on the about their personal experience, with no breaks if there were emergency radio traffic. No net control.

One of our local down due to lack of enough battery/solar to handle a few rainy days; if you're planning a repeater site for disaster/emergency reasons, good to plan for those sort of things. (must note, same issues seen with some repeaters here for similar reasons, during wildfires)

Heading to the coast today. I'll be monitoring the repeaters near Yachats & Waldport on the drive.

Useful table for ham radio people:
Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System (CTCSS) Tone Squelch for communications aka Subchannels
hamradio.me/charts/ctcss-radio

All this CTCSS stuff really is is a tone that is sent along with your voice to the receiving radio.

@baweaver
So I don't know whether to replace the with a higher-end and more capable (such as , if I could afford such), or go with (about the requirements of which I know nothing), or get an additional relatively low-end (read: ) router and put the devices on a separate as originally ideated. Or something else. ðŸĪ”

Open to suggestions. Please. My is going spare about not being able to reach the printer.. 🙄ðŸĪŠðŸ˜”
