The high court of public opinion
finds me publicly charged
with the crime of indecent hypocrisy

I offer up the defense
that we all have moments
when our reactive actions
run contrary to previous pious proclamations

That person we imagine we are
gets jarred, then blurred
beyond human recognition
by the realities of harsh circumstance

Leaving us guilty hypocrites
with egg on our faces
as we are led away in handcuffs
for a long stint in repercussion prison

This says it all - people in other professions taking #lavish #gifts from #billionaire #conservative #powerhouses would have #repercussions but not 4 Thomas. #SCOTUS are not constrained by a code of #ethical #conduct. Sums up the state of the court "Thomas' #failure to #disclose the #gifts [payoffs], which were worth tens of thousands of dollars [more like hundreds of thousands over a decade], could "potentially" be a #violation of #federal ethics rules - #ProPublica shining light on #corruption

Just watched the very disturbing videos of the beating to death of #Tyre #Nichols by 5 #thugs wearing #police uniforms.

No before any #bootlickers say "he should have just complied" - these thugs didn't give him the chance. They immediately escalated a traffic stop into a physical altercation.

When Tyre ran for his life, they chased him, cuffed him, and beat him to death while he was cuffed.

And they did it all on body cam. They didn't give a single shit among the 5 of them that they were recording their actions. They assumed that there would be no #repercussions for their actions.

And the bootlickers will tell you that we don't need any #reform. But when the people that we, as the public, pay and empower to uphold the law and protect the rights of the people are the ones breaking the law and violating the rights of the people, something is seriously wrong.

As POTUS he followed bad advice by lawyers as they all knowingly violated #constitutionallaw trying to keep him in power by an attempted #overthrow of the #government

I had several friends become supporters of these #traitors after they emerged from the muck and mire of hatred. Several guys I know and their then high school-aged kids were supporters, two even went to #charlottesville that fateful day and were doxxed for going. Jobs were lost, some colleges denied entrance to kids. #repercussions
