I keep forgetting how I made Apache redirect my web page to HTTPS, so a note to myself: add to .htaccess:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on
RewriteRule ^ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]

it could use a few more filters suchas

[ ] keep posts with replies
[ ] keep posts that were #favorited by others
[ ] keep posts that were #renoted / #reposted

This "deletion" is quite taxing #serverload wise btw...

My old Nokia Lumia is really better at calibrating its compass - calibration is automatically triggered whenever necessary. New (well, from 2017) Xperia needs dialing the old magic command *#*#7378423#*#* ("SERVICE"). Then you can choose from menu: - Service tests - Compass - Calibrate the compass.
There's also "INFO" command - dial *#*#4636#*#* to issue it.

Sometimes (exactly: in Firefox, on one of my computers) Google Maps are completely unreadable because streets are invisible. I found a discussion thread where a user with this problem was told that he either had a bad monitor or bad eyesight. A classic "never do that to a client" example. Well... Correct solution is available though - all we need is to force feed this piece of CSS to Maps:

It turned out that a favourite web application relies on file modification times, so after the hosting migration all the data suddenly had the dates of the migration. Fortunately the FTP can be used to modify modification times directly:

After recent changes in Twitter's CSS I couldn't disable the (mis)feature that I hate - rounded corners - with only a rule
