I get why they do it (even though I HATE it) but accounts that repost (and repost and repost ad nauseam) like news orgs, I’m *begging* you, PLEASE use hashtags to mark #reposts so those of us who follow you can filter them out and don’t have to see the same stories OVER AND OVER again.

I honestly don't really care about #reposts, I'm pretty against modern #copyright and #DRM in general, but the hypocrisy is such a classic case of "#Reddit exceptionalism" and it's so pathetic.

Here’s one reason your automated #reposts from #Twitter to here are not harmless: People on Twitter rarely add captions to images, and I don’t think captions are imported even when they exist. We caption images here. There is no excuse not to. Also, please don’t boost toots (reposts from Twitter) that include uncaptioned images. Every time you do, you wear down the culture of #accessibility so many have worked so hard for here in the Fediverse. You tell visually impaired users they don’t matter.
