There's a fine line between #StandingUp for #repressed groups or people, and #fixing things for them.

The first makes space for them to speak and be heard. The second sets you up as the "savior" and takes away their #agency.

It's likely that you will tapdance across that line more than once in your life. When that happens, don't fall on your sword. Just stop, ask someone you intended to help what help they'd like, and give that help if possible.

Do you think if Krypton had 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 had natural births then their 𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑𝒔 wouldn't have had such a 𝒗𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒍 look to them.
