Hello Mastadoneans, for a landparcel project I would like to do some #dataanalysis with the ratio between $area and $perimiter of a polygon feature.
Does someone know a basic textbook chapter around this idea? The do’s en don’ts to start with for example? Or a #researchpaper where this is explored?
I do know how to calculate the ratio and add the value to an attribute. I’m just looking for something how to use the values for analysis #gis #geodata #GISscience

Kesselheim et al. find that delivering two or more pulses at interstimulus intervals corresponding to the peaks of individual SICF curves - but also the trough between the 1st and 2nd peak - facilitate MEPs and reduce corticomotor threshold.

TMS bursts facilitate corticomotor excitability via two mechanisms: SICF-dependently via fast-conducting direct projections from M1-HAND to spinal motoneurons and SICF–independently probably through slower conducting indirect pyramidal tract projections.

We argue that an exclusive focus on I-wave periodicity is too narrow when aiming at understanding how TMS excites the precentral motor representations. The role of the I-wave independent facilitation in the control and development of skilled movement deserves more attention.

Thread about new paper: People with lower impulsive personality traits take fewer risks in a gambling task. But how does the brain translate a stable trait into momentary decisions? Apparently the preSMA is a core player: perturbing it with TMS decouples trait and state impulsivity.

While scanning participants with fMRI, they played a gambling task where they repeatedly throw a die and accumulate points, until they stop and bank their winnings or until throwing a 1 which leads to the loss of the accumulated points.
