I'm at the point where I daily think about just quitting my job with nothing else lined up. Unfortunately, if I did that, I know that I would have no motivation to look for a new job—nothing seems worth it and every job seems like the same bullshit, just with different people.

If the weren't an issue or if universities were more open to online classes, maybe I'd finally get a PhD? That's the only thing that seems interesting to me right now, but even that isn't worth risking .

Apparently they've now coined the word "resenteeism" to describe when someone resents their job but can't leave it - i.e., a situation that's as old as employment itself.

If management wants employees to be happy, we've told them what to do:

* Pay us what we're worth 💰
* Treat us with respect 🤝🏻

And really, that's about it. (Item 2 includes "let us work from home if possible".)

Making up new words that put the blame on us is not going to work.
