@old_hippie when it starts costing them. When jobs, organizations, and voters start finding it too politically toxic to deal with these people it will scale back. Right now there’s no down side. The press covers both sides, no one in the main stream treats them like cranks and the voters don’t appear to be calling their offices and saying that’s it, I don’t care who it is. I’ll vote for whoever runs against you no matter the party just to make sure you lose. There are programs like #Resistbot that can be used to make your voice heard too. More pressure makes these kinds of things toxic
