That little bit of legislation in Congress to "save" #gaymarriage is about to let my state government in the #idleg try to void my marriage, a marriage granted gracefully in a conservative county in a conservative state. How is this in the interest of families or the nation? Creating chaos and destabilizing families? I was told: but you can cross the border to a state that still has legal marriage and get re-married. The #RespectForMarraigeAct is awesome but it doesn’t enshrine marriage rights into law? Is it just a nullification of #DOMA? Can someone explain?

Look there is nothing I can do about it honey, the law is the law. We are just going to have to comply no matter how much it goes against our upbringing, personal distaste, or religious teachings.

I love you, and will continue to treat you with respect, and no, not because it was passed as the law, because you are my chosen wife & love.

But, you can now go ahead & start respecting this marriage, before I have to call the law.
