The Encyclopedia of American Loons is a blog written by Fredrik Haraldsen, Ryan Lake, and someone with the initials "G.D." that gives short biographies for living American pseudoscientists, conspiracy theory promoters (such as 9/11 truthers and birthers), climate change deniers, #antivaxxers, vehement anti-abortionists, and religious fundamentalists. Loons who have migrated from other countries to the US, particularly from Canada, are also included. Between 2010 and 2019, more than 2200 biographies have been written. The length and quality of each biography varies, and some biographies do reference #RationalWiki. Other frequent references include links to #Patheos, Respectful Insolence, and Right Wing Watch. All biographies end with a "diagnosis", the author's evaluation of the crank, a metric of how ultimately dangerous the crank is.
