Four things:

1. #AI is Regulated!
2. Focused on the impact on regular, reasonable people.
3. Some of that law demands explanation. Inexplicability & unpredictability is not a defense.
4. Companies need to do much more to think about & be accountable for human impact of their products.

As AI products become more popular, I am excited but simultaneously worried about issues such as misinformation, biases, deep fakes, and copyright issues. I m happy to see Mozilla investing $30 million to create a new startup called Mozilla.ai, which aims to develop an independent, open-source, trustworthy AI ecosystem. The announcement is light on detail, but I find it exciting!

AI system VALL-E being developed by Microsoft claims that it can clone your voice from a 3-second audio clip. The developers highlighted an ethical risks about VALL-E , expressing that it could be misused, such as in "spoofing voice identification or impersonating a specific speaker". #responsibleAI #responsibletech #AIethics
