Its really true the #supermarkets and #shoppingCentres are almost fitted out to be as ornate and decorative as medieval #churches.
Re: walkable we have had some very characterful old buildings and trees that made our built environment walkable from an aesthetic and restorative viewpoint but they were sacrificed for drab, blocky designs with no character and we don't enjoy walking in that area.

Those colours scientifically relax the viewer and the #attentionToDetail often innoculates against justifiable outrage as it relates to #overdevelopment.
